At Value Schools, we are committed to nurturing our students' educational journeys long after they graduate from our high schools. Our scholarship programs are designed to empower students by providing financial assistance for college expenses. By alleviating financial barriers, we aim to foster a conducive environment for our graduates to pursue higher education with determination and achieve their academic goals.

Chairman Scholarship recipient 2023The Chairman's Scholarship  
($5,000 scholarship awarded to one senior at graduation from each high school)

Description: Established in 2010 by Don Conlan and Grant Cambridge, the Chairman's Scholarship aims to support students in their pursuit of higher education at leading four-year universities. It offers $5,000 over the recipient's four years of college expenses.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, students must have been accepted to a leading four-year college, demonstrate high academic achievement, and exhibit a commitment to the school's core values.

Purpose: This scholarship serves as an incentive for students to strive for academic excellence and attend leading universities as recognized by US News & World Report.

Chairman Scholarship recipient 2023Jon Lovelace Math Scholars Award
($500 scholarship awarded to one senior at graduation from each high school)

Description: Established in 2011 by Rick Beleson, the Jon Lovelace Math Scholars Award highlights the significance of academic excellence in mathematics. Named after Jon Lovelace, the scholarship honors his passion for statistics, math, and securities analysis.

Eligibility Criteria: Open to students who excel in mathematics and demonstrate a dedication to academic achievement.

Purpose: The award encourages students to pursue their education in the field of mathematics and recognizes their commitment to academic excellence.

Ronus Vocational Scholarships
($1,250 scholarship awarded to two seniors at graduation from each high school)

Description: These scholarships are designed to support students pursuing further academic preparation through certificate programs or associate degrees in vocational trades. Eligible students may attend Los Angeles Trade Technical College or another qualifying not-for-profit educational institution.
 
Purpose: The Ronus Vocational Scholarships aim to empower students who are committed to careers in trade-related fields by reducing financial barriers to post-secondary education. By investing in vocational training, the scholarships help students gain the skills needed for meaningful employment and career success.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Must be a graduating senior at either Central City Value High School or University Prep Value High School.
  2. Must plan to enroll in a certificate or associate degree program in a vocational trade.
  3. Must attend Los Angeles Trade Technical College or another qualifying not-for-profit educational institution.
  4. Must demonstrate a clear interest in and commitment to a vocational career path.

Use of Funds: The scholarship funds may be applied to qualified educational expenses as defined by IRS Publication 970, including tuition, books, fees, and other costs associated with the program. If the scholarship funds, in combination with other financial aid, fully cover a student’s educational expenses, any remaining balance may be refunded to the student.

Value Schools Scholarship
($250 scholarships awarded to 10 graduating seniors at graduation from each high school)

Description: The Value Schools Scholarship is designed to support students who embody the school's core values and plan to pursue higher education at either 2- or 4-year colleges or universities.

Eligibility Criteria: Open to individuals who exemplify the school's Five Values and are committed to furthering their education.

Purpose: With 20 scholarships awarded at $250 each, the scholarship aims to kickstart students' educational journeys and emphasize the importance of completing college successfully.
