Everest Value School families and friends are invited to come celebrate and share music with all students in the EVS community!

Every grade will be participating, as well as special performances by the EVS drama club, dance team and Chorus.

For information about what students in each grade should wear, please see their classroom teacher or Ms. Dryden.

Come celebrate with us!

March Newsletter After SchoolDear Everest Families, Welcome back to another year!

There is so much to be excited about in our third year. We have added many new faces to our community, both students and staff, and I encourage you to welcome them in with a smile. I am so proud of how well our school's community has bonded together in our first two years, and I am looking forward to us sharing our magic with others in the community this year. As we mentioned in the orientation, I am very interested in putting our values in action this year. Everest's classrooms will each research and explore a service learning project in which they can help make a better world. This might be to help underserved people in the neighborhood, or possibly to help our planet environmentally. The classes will begin voting on their projects this month. Please stay tuned for how you may participate!

Turning to academics, I am extremely proud of what Everest has accomplished last year. The statewide test, (SBAC) scores have gone public at the following website:

Here you can find every school in the state's proficiency average. You will notice that Everest Value has not only surpassed the LAUSD average this year, we have also ranked ahead of some well-known local charters! I will be discussing more about what we have learned in our SBAC results at the Coffee with the Principal this month. It’s very exciting!

I am also very proud to announce that, over the summer, Everest Value was officially awarded WASC accreditation. The WASC association is a very reputable organization that can help guide us on a path to greatness, and our staff will be invited to other campuses and conferences that will help develop our potential.

Thanks again for helping to build such an amazing place to come to work each day. I can't wait to see where year 3 takes us!

Mr. Medinger

IMMEDIATE ATTENTION - July 14, 2020 - Value Schools Reopening Task Force

I’m writing to update you on our plans for the upcoming school year, which begins August 10 at all of our schools. While we would love to welcome everyone back to school in person, we cannot safely do so yet. As you know from news coverage, the unchecked spread of covid-19 in Los Angeles County has led state and local authorities, including LAUSD, to recommend postponing normal operations. Value Schools agrees. Read the letter from CEO David Doyle.
